Zmrzovalnik kot razstavni prostor / Refrigerator as Exhibition Space (2025) Instalacija / Zmrzovalnik, led, surova glina, skulpturna infrastruktura, stiropor Zmrzovalnik kot razstavni prostor nosi naslednje pomene: 1. V instalaciji je uporabljen zmrzovalnik, ki ni vsakdanji gospodinjski aparat, temveč izhaja iz komercialnega okolja in je narejen z namenom razstavljanja vsebine. 2. Zmrzovalnik kot razstavni prostor se nanaša tudi na arhivske prostore, kot so muzeji, kjer se hranijo umetniška dela, pogosto nekdanji neumetniški objekti. 3. Zmrzovalnik kot razstavni prostor poudarja vprašanja medija in tematske usmerjenosti umetniškega dela. Instalacija, ki vključuje objekt iz surove gline, deluje kot post-readymade umetniški objekt in preizkuša tezo umetnosti za umetnost. Zmrzovalnik in skulptura sta povezana z občutljivo fizično in konceptualno vezjo. The installation uses a freezer that is not an everyday household appliance, but one originating from a commercial context and was created with the intention to exhibit its content. 2. The freezer as an exhibition space also relates to archival spaces such as museums, where artworks—often formerly non-artistic objects—are preserved. 3. The freezer as an exhibition space emphasizes questions of media and the thematic orientation of the artwork. The installation, which includes an object made of raw clay, functions as a post-readymade art object and tests the thesis of art for art's sake. The freezer and the sculpture are connected by a delicate physical and conceptual link. The readymade artwork deals with the medium that physically creates the conditions for the existence and exhibition of the artwork made of raw clay. If, in the classic readymade model, the exhibition space relieves the found objects of their original context, in the installation this happens from within. The sculpture inside the freezer originates from Horse, reconstructed (2025), a side work developed during the creation of Refrigerator as Exhibition Space. |
