Zamrzovalnik kot razstavni prostor nadaljuje raziskavo o spekulativni fosilizaciji in o naravnih oblikah muzejev.
Projekt se začne z gesto premestitve – vsakdanji predmeti so odstranjeni iz svojih tipičnih funkcij, da jih lahko ozremo skozi metaforično lečo muzejskega konzervatorstva. Če v klasičnem modelu readymade-a, ko razstavni prostor najdene predmete sleče prvotnih kontekstov se v instalaciji Zmrzovalnik, kot razstavni prostor to dogaja od znotraj. Delujoč zamrzovalnik skrbi za ohranjanje skulpture ta pa ga osvobaja njegove vsakdanje funkcije in mu gradi umetniško avro.
Zmrzovalnik in skulptura sta povezana z občutljivo fizično in konceptualno povezavo. Zmrzovalnik ni zgolj gospodinjski aparat, ampak aktivno izdeluje umetniško delo in s svojim delovanje nosi ključno konceptualno težo. Kip, izdelan v splošno priznanem estetskem in umetniškem stilu pa širi svojo umetniško vrednost in na novo opredeljuje kontekst stroja, ki ga hrani.
Koncept umetniškega dela, ki deluje za drugo umetniško delo je odziv prenasičenosti uporabe najdenih predmetov v sodobni umetnosti in iskanje ponovne avtonomije umetnosti, kot odgovor na trenutno instrumentalizacijo umetnosti v kulturnem ozračju Slovenije.
Skulptura v zmrzovalniku je plod dela Konj, rekonstruiran (2025), ki je bilo narejeno za potrebe dela Zmrzovalnik, kot razstavni prostor.

The freezer as an exhibition space continues the exploration of speculative fossilization and natural forms of museums.
The project begins with a gesture of displacement—everyday objects are removed from their typical functions so that we can view them through the metaphorical lens of museum conservation. In the classic readymade model, the exhibition space strips found objects of their original contexts, but in the installation Freezer, as an exhibition space, this happens from within. A working freezer preserves the sculpture, which in turn frees it from its everyday function and builds its artistic aura.
The freezer and the sculpture are connected by a delicate physical and conceptual link. The freezer is not merely a household appliance, but actively produces a work of art and carries key conceptual weight through its operation. The sculpture, created in a widely recognized aesthetic and artistic style, expands its artistic value and redefines the context of the machine that houses it.
The concept of an artwork functioning for another artwork is a response to the oversaturation of found objects in contemporary art and a search for the renewed autonomy of art, as a response to the current instrumentalization of art in the cultural climate of Slovenia.
The sculpture inside the freezer originates from Horse, reconstructed (2025), a side work developed during the creation of Refrigerator as Exhibition Space.
